More than a thousand year's Chinese Medicine Wisdom from Huang's Family

Huang’s Medicine has a history of over a thousand years. Its medical principle is a part of the philosophical theory named ‘Huang’s Quan theory’, which is created by one of Huang’s ancestors, Qiaoshan Huang, in the late Tang and early Song dynasty.
The general Quan (circle) theory is related to the temporal and spatial context. It can be defined as an interactive circle/extent that is derived from a central point. The Huang’s Medicine utilized the Quan theory and established a set of unique classical philosophical systems consisting the universe, earth and life, which is finally attributed to the medical sciences. Therefore, the medical principle of the theory was inspirited and directed by the concept of ‘integration of body and nature’. It has established on basis of the understanding of human physiology and numerology; It is a combination of philosophy and life. Following the ancestral motto, the theory has been inherited within the family in the form of oral teaching, and it was only allowed to pass on one male heir in each generation.
The concept of Huang’s medicine is summarized from long term health practice and experiences. In the historical changes, the concept has been passed and circulated from Shaowu, Fujian province, to Dayaoshan, Qiaojia County, Zhaotong city, Yunnan province. Its uniqueness and clinical efficacy have produced a huge influence in the local area, and it has become a banner and role model of traditional Chinese medicine. Professor Chuan-gui Huang is the 56th direct generation of this family theory.
Professor Huang has graduated from the Fourth Military Medical University, and he used to be appointed the director of the Yunnan Army Reserve Service Hospital. Professor Huang integrated the concept of the traditional Huang’s medicine with the modern applied medical science, and greatly expanded the knowledge more comprehensively. He selflessly devoted the skills and experience of Huang’s medicine to the society, ‘turning family treasures to national treasures’ as he said, and to let the Huang’s Medicine benefit more people.
